Website Security Services

Website security that stops attacks.
not just reports them.

Most Indian business websites run on default WordPress installs with weak admin passwords, outdated plugins, no firewall, no malware scanning, and no incident response plan. Clarvity builds security that actually prevents attacks — not the security-theatre kind that just emails you scary reports after the damage is done. Firewall, monitoring, hardening, backups, and fast response — all layered together.

What's inside

Every layer. every attack vector.

Clarvity implements security in layers — because no single tool catches everything. Firewall stops external attacks. Malware scanning catches what slips through. Login hardening blocks credential attacks. Backups let you recover fast if anything gets past all three. Every layer is essential; one alone is not enough.

Web Application Firewall

Cloudflare, Sucuri, or Wordfence — blocking SQL injection, XSS, and bot attacks before they even reach your server.

Malware Scanning & Removal

Weekly automated scans, real-time threat detection, and on-demand malware cleanup if something gets through.

SSL & HTTPS Setup

Free Let's Encrypt or premium SSL certificates, HTTPS enforcement, HSTS headers — because Chrome flags HTTP sites as "Not Secure".

Login & Access Hardening

2FA on all admin accounts, brute-force protection, IP whitelisting, custom admin URLs, role hardening — kills 90% of credential attacks.

Automated Backups & DR

Daily off-site backups, tested restoration process, versioned snapshots — because backups you've never tested don't count.

Monitoring & Incident Response

24/7 uptime and threat monitoring, alerts routed to us first, fast incident response when something needs attention.

The basics

What is website security?

Website security is the practice of protecting a website from cyberattacks, unauthorised access, data theft, malware infections, and downtime through a layered combination of Web Application Firewalls (WAF), malware scanning, secure authentication (2FA, strong passwords), encrypted connections (HTTPS/SSL), regular backups, hardened file permissions, and incident response. For Indian businesses, it also involves compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) 2023 and, for anyone accepting card payments, PCI-DSS.

The mistake most Indian businesses make is treating security as a checkbox — buying one plugin, installing one SSL certificate, calling it done. That works exactly until it doesn't. Real security is layered: firewall to block external attacks, scanning to catch what slips through, hardening to prevent credential compromise, backups to recover if anything succeeds. Each layer is doing a different job, and removing any one of them creates a gap that automated attack bots find within days.

The other mistake is thinking small businesses aren't worth attacking. Automated bots don't care about your revenue — they scan every website they can reach, looking for the same known vulnerabilities (outdated WordPress, weak passwords, unpatched plugins). A small shop with default WordPress and no firewall is exactly as easy to compromise as a Fortune 500 with the same setup — and it gets scanned by the same bots, every day.

Our approach

How Clarvity secures a website.

Every engagement follows the same four-stage arc — audit, harden, monitor, respond — but the tool choice, monitoring cadence, and incident response SLA are tuned to your risk profile, industry, and compliance needs. Monthly security reports, quarterly reviews, on-call when it matters.

01

Security audit

Full audit of current vulnerabilities — outdated software, weak configs, exposed endpoints, missing defences. Written report before any changes.

02

Harden & configure

WAF, SSL, 2FA, backups, file permissions, admin hardening — all layered together, tested end-to-end, documented for handover.

03

Monitor & scan

Weekly malware scans, real-time uptime and threat monitoring, alerts routed to us first so you don't get woken up at 3am.

04

Respond & report

Fast incident response when something needs attention, monthly security reports, quarterly strategy reviews as threat landscape shifts.

What you get

Every retainer includes.

Layered defence. 24/7 monitoring. Real incident response.

All included in the monthly retainer. Emergency response covered for retainer clients. No hidden fees for cleanup if something gets through.

Common questions

Website security, answered plainly.

How much does website security cost in India?

Website security costs in India split into three parts. Initial security setup (audit, firewall, SSL, 2FA, backups, hardening) typically costs ₹15,000-₹40,000 one-time. Monthly monitoring and maintenance runs ₹5,000-₹30,000/month depending on scope. Emergency malware cleanup for an already-infected site costs ₹15,000-₹1,00,000 depending on severity and the type of infection. Enterprise security suites with 24/7 SOC-level monitoring, penetration testing, and compliance reporting run ₹50,000-₹2,00,000+/month. Third-party WAF costs (Cloudflare Pro/Business, Sucuri) are billed separately at $20-$500+/month.

What are the most common ways websites get hacked?

The vast majority of website hacks come from a small set of predictable causes. Outdated WordPress core, plugins, or themes account for the largest share — unpatched vulnerabilities are the #1 entry point. Weak admin passwords and no two-factor authentication are next, followed by nulled or pirated themes and plugins carrying pre-installed backdoors. SQL injection and cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks target sites with unsafe custom code. Brute-force login attempts hammer any WordPress /wp-admin without rate limiting. Social engineering (phishing hosting or admin credentials) is the fastest-growing vector. Almost every one of these is preventable with basic security hygiene.

Can you clean up my website if it is already hacked?

Yes. Clarvity provides emergency malware cleanup as a standalone service, separate from ongoing security retainers. Typical cleanup process: full site scan and infection assessment, malicious file removal, database cleanup, backdoor and shell removal, WordPress core/plugin/theme re-installation from clean sources, password and salt rotation, admin user audit, Google Search Console blacklist removal request, and post-cleanup hardening to prevent re-infection. Turnaround is typically 24-72 hours depending on infection severity. We do not, however, guarantee data recovery if the infection has already destroyed content — that depends on your backup situation.

Do you cover PCI-DSS and India's DPDP Act compliance?

Yes, at the technical level. For PCI-DSS (required for anyone accepting card payments), Clarvity configures HTTPS enforcement, tokenised payment gateway integration so card data never touches your server, hardened admin access, quarterly vulnerability scans, and audit-ready logging. For India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) 2023, we implement consent management, data-subject request handling, breach notification workflows, and secure data storage practices. What we don't do is provide legal or compliance advisory — for that you'll need a qualified compliance consultant or DPO — but the technical implementation is handled end-to-end.

What happens if my site gets attacked despite your security?

Honestly, no security setup is 100% attack-proof — anyone claiming otherwise is either lying or naive. What good security does is dramatically reduce attack probability and, when something does get through, contain the damage and speed recovery. If a site under Clarvity's security retainer gets breached, our incident response kicks in within the SLA (typically 2-4 hours), we contain the attack, run cleanup, restore from the latest clean backup, and provide a written post-incident report with root cause analysis. Retainer clients get cleanup included; one-off setup clients get it at discounted retainer-client rates.
